Point-to-Point and Hourly Charter are the two most common ways to book a limo or black car at GSALux. They sound similar (both are 'a chauffeured vehicle gets you where you're going'), but the pricing model and the kind of day they fit are very different.
Point-to-Point: one pickup, one drop-off, one price
Point-to-Point is a flat-rate ride between two addresses. The price is quoted at booking and confirmed up front. There is no meter, no surge, no en-route adjustment. You know exactly what the trip costs the moment you book.
Use Point-to-Point for: airport transfers, hotel-to-venue runs, office-to-restaurant transfers, and any scenario where you know exactly where you're going and aren't planning to stop along the way.
Hourly Charter: the vehicle is yours
Hourly Charter is the chauffeur and the vehicle reserved exclusively for you, billed by the hour with a 3-hour minimum. Within your booked hours, the vehicle stays with you: multiple stops, waiting time, change of plans, all included. There's no per-stop charge and no meter when you're not in the car.
Use Hourly Charter for: multi-stop work itineraries, shopping days, wine tours, real estate tours, medical appointments, executive day-trips, stadium events with tailgates, and any scenario where you'd otherwise be telling a rideshare driver to wait or to come back in two hours.
The cost crossover
If your day looks like 'one pickup, one stop, one drop off, all in a 2-hour window,' point-to-point is usually the right call because you only pay for the moves. If your day is 'three stops over 5 hours with waiting between them,' hourly is cheaper and significantly less stressful, with no separate booking per leg. - Airport → home? Point-to-Point.
- Office → restaurant → home? Two Point-to-Points, or one short Hourly. Often a wash on price.
- Day of three meetings across the city? Hourly. Always.
- Wine tour with three vineyards? Hourly with a 6-8 hour booking.
- Wedding day with multiple touch points? Hourly for the chauffeur on the couple's vehicle; possibly Point-to-Point for guest shuttles.
- Stadium game with tailgate? Hourly (4-6 hour block).
